1 / 11

At January 17 NA regular sitting, the draft law on Making Addenda to the Law on Education authored by the deputies of the Civil Contract Faction Sisak Gabrielyan, Taguhi Ghazaryan, Knyaz Hasanov and Hasmik Hakobyan was debated in the first reading.

According to the key rapporteur Sisak Gabrielyan, an attempt is made by the draft law to regulate the procedure for the implementation of the additional educational programmes, proposing to create conditions for recognizing the non-formal and informal education received by the citizens.

With the legislative initiative, it will be possible to resolve the legislative crisis, strengthen the processes of the organization and implementation of the additional educational programmes, as well as pursue the state policy in the field of evaluation, recognition and certification of non-formal and informal education outcomes more effectively, ensure the implementation of the assumed international obligations.

Narek Babayan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport.

The RA ESCS Deputy Minister Zhanna Andreasyan presented the positive position of the Government, underlining that the executive body submitted some technical and editorial proposals.
